21.03.2007 - R.I.P Turtle No 3
Yes its my sad duty to inform you that we lost one of our class turtles this week due to the negligence of workers who seem to constantly have it in for my property. See the turtles have always been moved to an upstairs greenhouse any time work is being done to the classrooms where I assume they will be safe. Last time I put them in there, workers boarded the turtles up inside a shelving unit using ceiling panels from which took me 45 minutes to rescue them. This time they decided to bug spray the turtles and the fish without thought and their actions killed my turtle. The other two were a little groggy but after I cleaned their tank and gave them some new ornaments to play with they seem to be fine, albeit grieving for their brother. I buried him amongst the trees downstairs and vowed to keep my property where people can not find and destroy it in the future since it seems no one gives a crap around here. I plan on seeing the CGI turtles movie in memory of my loss.
On a lighter note, we have reached Wednesday lunch time and the majority of teaching time has been completed. Its been good fun this week and we have talked about some interesting topics in class. Ive been using a bunch of Eric Carle books as well as watching "The very hungry caterpillar" animation. Since spring is practically upon us, its all about changes in the world around us and I have a huge meeting to prepare for next Tuesday based on work for the month of April. Aside from that I'm going to be catching up with the housekeeping I failed to do last weekend and playing Every Extend Extra until I can see through time. Oh and putting out a podcast, I have just been sent a great transition noise for segmenting the thing so just hold on a little longer folks!
Till next time,
This has been MMI

If I were you I'd check the credentials of those workers. If their names are Rocksteady and Beebop we're in trouble!
Hey Man
That's such sad news about your heroes in a half-shell. If I were you I'd go Splinter on their ass - those poor turtles :o(
Apart from that glad your still enjoying it - seems that you're getting on well settling in with your new class.
Lookin' forward to the podcast
Liz
