06.08.2006 or Taiko Terror

It always gets a little confusing when I type the date into the blog entry. My brain sort of stopped counting the years after they started to seem silly and futuristic. Also im never sure if its 2006 or 2007. Well, I guess now that my education has come to an end, well for the moment anyway, there are no overshadowing divisions by which to mark the passage of the years. And when you get older, Birthdays seem to get less important too. Well as the folks in Japan say, "Shouganai na" or :"theres nowt that can be done about it".

Today has been a good day off, lazy and unproductive but pretty carefree which Is how days off should be. Staring into the face of a working week doesnt seem so bad and Im feeling pretty grounded now which is good. We sat down and watched the Keroro movie today which was suitably mental. Not much to say other than that. Oh, I got pretty freaked out in the department store today. I kept noticing these two girls shadowing me when I was walking round from having lunch to heading up to Taiko. When I got up to the machine and waited my turn it was clear that they were following me and I was feeling really uncomfortable at this point.

As I got back to observing the game I felt a little tap on my shoulder. "....take a picture", said one of the girls. "Sure Ill take your picture" I said, hoping for the best that they weren't actually stalking me. "No, No" they replied. Turns out they were stalking me and they inisted that they take my picture. "Why?" I asked them. I got no response. Reluctantly I agreed to let them take one picture, my brain still trying to work it out. When they asked for a second one I just flat out said no. I turned around and about twenty seconds later I glanced back to see if they were still there and they had completely vanished. I assumed the worst, that they had taken my soul, or they were going to do some unthinkable thing with that picture. Now Im keeping my eyes out for any goofy looking westerner on Billboards and TV to find out who the hell they thought I was. That way I can maybe clear my name and feel at ease In the department store. Because I need that place, thats where Taiko is!

LOL, thats a funny story dude! You're totally a celebraty over there man. Liz thinks they thought you were Ryan from the OC. I think they just fancy you and are impresses at your westerness. You sould totally live up to it and tell everyone your famous! If you wear a tshirt with 'OC' on it they'll get the picture.

Haha! I can't believe you are getting stalked out there, but I've got to admit that I was shocked the last time I watched the OC and remembered how similar you look to Ryan. To be fair, of all the people to look like, its not that bad to be mistaken for someone from the OC! You should have shot them a depressed and angst-ridden look, then they would have totally believed you were him!

Hope your next week at work goes well, it sounds like you are getting on really well there.

Liz
